TRUSTEES WANTED
We have been approached by Robert Purcell who runs the Bishops Stortford YMCA. They are looking for two new people to join their board of Trustees and would like to involve people who are nearer in age to their residents than are some of the existing Trustees. Robert showed me around the YMCA in town which was very interesting and if you are interested in doing community based work this could be a great opportunity to get involved. below are a couple of pdfs providing more information. YMCA - Job description for board members

GLOBAL EXCHANGE
Peter Scarlett, who many of you will remember runs Kickstart (which BSYP supported with the proceeds of our Annual Charity Ball last year) is also the President of Bishops Stortford Rotary. He recently wrote to us about the Global Exchange which is an international cross cultural youth exchange program run by VSO in partnership with CSV (Community Service Volunteers), the British Council and VSO Jitolee, Kenya. 18 Volunteers from Kenya and the UK will be coming to Bishops Stortford to spend over 6,000 hours engaged in voluntary work on local community projects for 10 weeks.
